Hurman
The first round of the Tyke Trial championship was blessed with glorious sunshine which makes a change from high winds and horizontal rain that we seemed to get all last year!! The dry conditions allowed some extreme sections to be set out and it still amazes me just how the Expert and Elite guys get up and off some of those rocks There was a very strong entry in the beginners class with over 9 under 10's out on the day enjoying themselves. There are some talented young riders in this group who will only get better as they take part in more trials. The novice class was also well supported and their skills were put to the test on the tricky sections which had been made that little bit harder just to get everyone back into it after the Christmas break The intermediate class was the most popular and had been set out to test everyone. Addingham Moorside has so much to offer and some new areas were used this year to keep everyone on their toes. The expert and elite routes were difficult to walk let alone ride but all the riders attacked them 100% with varying degrees of success. The dry weather did cause one problem and that was very few puddles for my kids to throw themselves in Let's hope this year sees more dry conditions which makes the day so much more enjoyable. The next round is at Oakworht Quarry on March the 4th. See you there..........Hurman
