2006 Magura Bleeding Problems

Hi guys,

I recently got a 2006 Magura. I tried to bleed it today after shortening the hose and have had no end of problems. I've been bleeding my own brakes for about 4 years without any problems. However, this one has been a nightmare. I can get it so no water is leaking out before I put the bolts in yet when I pull the lever the goes straight to the bar! The is no air in the syringe either. I've even checked the Magura manual which suggests Im doing it correctly.

To top things off I knicked the hose when I was removing the brake to check it, so it's now useless anyway.

Please help!

P.S. If anyone from Tarty bikes reads this would you be able to sell me a new brake ready-bled with a hose already shortened???

I'm sure they could cut the hose before they bleed it, i would tell them what frame and forks you have though.

I had/have this problem.... I swear the 06 levers have a different design, allowing a small air pocket to stay in the lever body. Well that's the conclusion I came to after getting pissed off about it!

I've tried the bath / standing the bike up on the rear wheel and bleeding/ blasting the fluid through the system with the syringe.... this helped a little.

Unfortunately, I have to have the TPA halfway in, bummer! Someone solve this please? = Tarty dudes!

....stupid maggies! >_<
