robonatomz
after thinking about some of the points raised in this thred one of them is playing on my mind. That not all people can afford to travel to the world cup,s. a fair statement wich i may well have had the wrong reaction to earlier.most of the people on the list have some form of international riding achievement. so at some piont in 2006 they traveled to another country to compete. say to the biu world champs for example. so at the start of the year, looking at my limited finaces and time off from work, i thought to my self, Well they are the uci world championships so the best plan for my riding this year is to 1. practice more uci 2.use what time off and money i do have to compete in uci events, 3. get some good world cup finishes, and a top 20 world ranking.i thought that it being the uci worlds, then uci results would fair me well. when this was deemed not to be the case then i realised id wasted my time all year, wasted my money all year and generally felt hard done by.as far Roger's coment, i dont take kindley to being called an internett gobshite, its not very often i post any more as most of what you say on here gets pulled to pieces by people that dont know what they are talking about, mostly young lads who had i trials bike for a bit and think they know all.besides i hate writing and using the pc, its hard work for me to write so that it makes sense.however i felt the need to post on this because, my name was flying round and because i wanted to voice my opinion on how things had gone down.the problem i have is, i like to ride my bike, biu, uci, street anything but in this counrtry there's too much politics, my dad just made a coment to me, "there's no use knocking if there's no-one in" he's made me see sense, no use trying to be herd, im one lad, i strugle to put what i wanna say into words on here, and what i do say falls on deaf ears.best thing i can do is ignore all the haters, ignore everyone in fact, just ride my bike and try and injoy it despite all the B.Srob. wind_up
firstly, why isnt james porter in the team? surely he qualifies for the junior 26"? secondly, please think before submitting your post, especially if you have commented about how the kids regard what they read on these forums, but have included the words gobshite and bullshit in the post as well. somebody think of the children....!thirdly, accusations that are written could be regarded as 'libellous'; slander is when such accusations are made orally.fourthly, lets not demand supporting evidence for what people write. a forum is a place for free discussion my dear friends, where free speech prevails no matter how incorrect something might be and this place is only meant to be a bit of internet fun.lastly, if joe oakleys dad had really bribed the decision makers, he could have afforded to have got himself on the team too. Waynio
:lol:didnt use the net yesterday much was too busy out riding practising.LOOKING at your first post rob, its clear to me someone else wrote it someone who didnt use spellcheck very well your other posts are much clearer and better read. hope others can see the difference in the posts.check this out:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nA93yV9StN4thats what alot of stuff is happening for all the blind people out there. and that is the funniest thing i have ever listened to. it made me laugh my socks off. you can replace quotes/phrases with names. its out of control again by a small minority group, Roger Wilbraham i spoke to the other day and at the end of the day he has had his say and sorted the dispute out, leave it at that and just get on with it!!!! if there was a UCI champs in Auz in the near future HOW MANY would go there? cos if i enjoy this one, i would sure plan to do there too!!!! i would have gone to New Zealand but was at the BIU worlds.Waynio................................. robonatomz
i wrote them all wayn, but my first one i was at work and the pc is not compatable with the spell checker.dont take kindly to your you tube link wayn? there was always gonna be some one that started with the piontless insults, and just out of interest which one am i then? wana start callin me names wayn then do it to my face, thats not what this thred was about!if i am honest then if there was a world cup round in australier then no i would not go, it would be way too expensive prob's 5 times the cost of any other world cup'sactually wayn i cant see anything in your post that has been a helpfull contribution, just mainly there to wind me up and sh1t stir.Roger's post has made things a little more clear to be, as the origonal piont i was trying to raise was that between 3 groups, no one could decide who made the decision. now at least i know why B,C say it was bike trial and bike trial say it was B,C and that the 3rd group was formed to help make the cut.at the end of the day thats the way its happend and it cant be changed, im just saying there must have been a mre fair way of doing it, for example if basing the decision on the world cup's wasent feesable, then why not run a proper uci rules qualification round in this country or somthing. just an idea.rob
Matt_Tupman
its out of control again by a small minority group,I don't think the group you are talking about is a minoroty at all infact is more of a majority.
Waynio
yes maybe it has become a "Majority" because minoritys start, then get bigger, just like when a**eholes shit all over d***s and P***IES change them 3 words for more suitable words, it just seems those 3 words made me laugh my socks off Rules eh!!!! 1 for one and one for another. Meetings are where things should be sorted and talked about. half of the problem is the MAJORITY of the forum do NOT know what happens behind the scenes of biketrial, which is a bloody good thing, as it can come across as a war zone at times. if people didnt do things in an "un authordox" matter the world would be a better place. Eh matt?iv lost the will to care, apart from turning upto tykes and doing the british and worlds. id rather get along with most or everyone than have a problem but when people are stitching others up, im afraid theres a line. *trials as a community going off sundays trials from tykes is perfect in its own areas, try mixing in good riders from each and all you get is uproar and argueing* it would be a much better place if ALL could get along fine.(but it will never happen)theres always someone doing something behind someones back. Eh matt?I completely agree Wayne meetings are the place were decisions need to be made, unfortanatly thats why all of this started in the first place due to lack of comunication between memebers of the committe. There was a meeting as far as i'm aware held between now and the BikeTrial UK AGM that consisted of Fred Savage, George Eyre, Mick Skriven and Barbera Wright unfortunalty no other members of BikeTrial UK were notified about this meeting and so thats were are problem is. The decisions that were made were not by BikeTrial UK but by a small group from BikeTrial UK.Matt
Waynio
what about RULES?we'll just after see what happens. i for one have nothing to worry about, i turn upto trials and ENJOY myself, have fun and most of all have a laugh. i ride better like that and i feel more people appreciate that, than being too serious over exaggerating things.Waynio.............................. Waynio
The ACU handbook nearly/does include UCI rules? and also "modified" BIU rules which unless discussed and agreed by the BIU Biketrial UK committee the changes CAN then be made. something different happened. hence the bloody state its in currently Waynio...................... robonatomz
lets not turn this thread into an arguament about bike uk commitee, im sure its somthing you should sort out, out of the public to start!i dont know whats gone. but by the sounds of you two, the commitee is falling out with each other.if they cant get on what chance does the rest of the trials comunity have? i dont see the problem with two sets of rules,i ride both, im not so good at one, but better at another. but i like to ride both.why try and tie them together though? the only reason there has been so much interest in the uci world champs is because they are in scotland.i rode at 2003, 2004, 2005 , could nt afford 2006 as they were the other side of the world. but never had this trouble before.lets hope that if there is a big interest for italy 2008 then we get a more fair chance to quallify!rob Edited February 8, 2007 by onzabob
