Threaded T-pro Bb

Try plastering the BB in locktight and then screwing it in as far as possible, then leave it to set.

It might work as bottom brackets don't have to be screwed in mega-tight.

If this doesn't work then I suppose if it one of the T-PROs with a standard BB like mine, then you couls get it tapped to 1mm oversize and get the oversize T-PRO bb, but this would limit you to a square taper set up.

Hope this helps.

ring supercycles/get it helicoiled/clean the threads on bb and frame and try again.

by any chance did you get the frame second hand not realising it had the smaller bb and try and put a normall bb in there?

Some T-Pros come with 1mm oversize bottom brackets, not undersize.

If you trust your BB enough to not break...at all, then get yourself some Araldite, and glue that mofo in!

Try that, araldite is more flexible than superglue, so it will resist vibrations more.

if its got an oversize bb then your only hope is to get the bb shell reamed (not to be confused with riimed) and a steel insert put in, argos cycles do it and it used to be about 40quid, with postage charges on top

however, you may as well buy another frame for that...dude why the feck did you buy a mangled frame? arggggh i told you not to bother with crap!

another solution is to use a threadless bb, with has threads on the left cup and the body and tightens into the bb shell (should be ok if yours is 1mm oversize)-it has a taper both sides so it gets a nice tight fit, if you want one, i have a brand new 113 (i think) in my shed, and i can probably order a wider one if you wish :) catch me on msn buddy

He bought the frame off me for dirt cheap...

Everyone knows what troubles i had with the BB shell... there is currently a BB araldited in there, it never moved for the nearly 2 years of me riding the frame... so if i was you ryan, id take the old one out, and clean the BB shell, then buy a new BB and araldite that in again...

I warned you about it, and told you the frame isnt in good condition at all... so dont go complaining :P

 no complants atall mate i got the frame home today was very pleased the bb seems fine at the moment.

Cheers mate. (Y)

cool man cool.

Like i sidehop it isnt in good condition, its been through its paces! but if you watch my vids, im a fairly smooth rider, so isnt too bad (Y)

If the BB totally fookes (like it will soon...) then just twat the non drive side with a hammer, and it should just pop out... the other cup should screw out, cause it was only one side that stripped... you know, i was one of the first, if not, the first person to snap a T-pro bash off... lol i dunno how i done that! lol

Hi guys just wanted to no what should i do about my t-pro frame as the bb threds in the frame have rounded off is there any soloutin apart from buying a new frame.

Cheers.

Buy an oversized bottom bracket from supercycles, call them 0115 941 11 33 to order one as tey dont display this item pon the site, their about £15 posted, this will almost tap the threads back into shape, get the manager to explain what an oversized bottom bracket is or :

The bottom bracket-shell-thread is cut slightly bigger than a standard BB shell to take an oversize square taper bottom bracket. The square taper is the same as that used in complete T-Pro bikes, so there shouldn't be any problem fitting square taper compatible trials cranks.
