PaRtZ
stupid f*ckin maguras AGAIN. WTF is going wrong. It all started with a split crossover, I cut it down, put the barb in, and after an hour of re-bleeding it it STILL had f**king air in it. I thought a seal has gone so I ordered new bits from chain reaction, built it toghether STILL THE SAME F*CKING PROBLEM :angry:When I finish bleeding theres NO air in the system at all. Its just as soon as I put it on my bike and start pumping the lever it gains air. I've checked all nuts are tight, any more and ill cross thread them, the hoses are secured in by the olives and wont rotate at all. Can't see the barbs being wrong, the hosing is touching flush against the barb nutWTF?!
AdamR28
Unfortunately it sounds like there is air in the system from the bleed... But check all the fittings for leaks - for air to go in, fluid has to come out.Try standing the bike on the rear wheel and get a mate to tap all the hoses and cylinders while you're pushing the fluid through (this releases any trapped air - common when you've fitted new hose)... that should help Ads
hill_393
Sometimes dude, the smallest kink or split in the cable can create a pinhole willy, small enough for air to escape. If you think that when you pull the lever, you are squashing the oil into an even tighter space, and the oil will naturally want to escape from this pressure, often through the smallest hole.I advise you best bet is to replace ALL the cabling. That is the cheapest option, and from that point you'll be able to make sure is is the cablingDarrenwww.thinkbikes.com stupid f*ckin maguras AGAIN. WTF is going wrong. RicH_87
sometimes it hard to get the barbs screwed in tight enough, unless you are he-man.they are like cheese i know, so chances of them rounding are high, but take the brake off and screw each barb in as hard as you can, then what i did was put a little bit of tyre glue around the rim of each barb, which is enough to make a seal, but if you want to take them out again you can.it was fine forever since i did that. the hose is pretty thick so i doubt it has a pin willy hole in it, i'm betting the air is getting sucked in at the barbs, even if there is no apparent oil coming back out.
