26inch
mainly practise. Try to drop the front wheel 1st then explode up and forwards tucking the bars into you. then just push the back wheel down. The best thing to do is watch vids of tunnicliff nd cls etc
Dan6061
Sequence:1. Get close to the edge.2. Drop the front, and start to crouch down/back.3. Preload - Start to kick the pedals, and move your weight forwards.4. Mid air - Tuck, and try and keep the bike up with you.5. Landing - Get the backwheel on the edge, and start to tuck down.6. Landed - Tuck down to absorb impact.

Captain Scarlet
I do all of the following for effective gapping.Get close to the edge of the starting point (not on the very edge as you will not be able to kick as far), compress into the bike, let the front end drop a bit then pedal hop, exagerate the motion of throwing yourself forwards and upwards by bringing your knees upwards, let the back wheel sweep through underneath you, on landing extend your arms forward and crouch over onto the back wheel. Fixed Pantsâ„¢
To add, give it all the effort you can and be as explosive as possible.
Simpson
i can do about 2 bike lenghts maxYou do realise how massive that is especially considering the length of your bike in particualar so nots let get into a lengh comp! lolTo add, give it all the effort you can and be as explosive as possible.More to do with technique than anything! Im a pretty powerfull rider but a few 13 year olds round her can out gap me on pure skill!!!just practise and dont go for 8 foot gaps 1st time build it up nice and slowly! _Owen.
some people rekon the further you drop your frount end the further you will gap. but ill leave that for you to decide. i rekon the easiest way to get better is just practice. khoie
Dont know if any ones mentioned this? but me and alot of my friends use a slight angle when gapping? improves the amount u can lean (move body of center posistion) into the gap while lowering the front wheel. effective for extra grip too usually (not in all cases) a "lefty" will benefit from gapping too the right and "righty" too the left. A downside to this though can be if you run low tyre pressures the more likly you are of twisting the tyre off the rim? look closely on vids you should see what i meen.hope it helps
Caeskoxx
im not sure, but i saw a post like this in otn and tra replys that the pedal motion is important but the most important thing is to really concentrate to jump, and this works for mewww.biketrialsmexico.cjb.net koxx, 24, koxx one, echo, zoo, czar, gu, adamant, btbikes!! jsychem
Exagerate your Pedal Kick, start from further back. Its the technique not the effort!!! Hope that helps!!!
