My 2 new steeds. Had the Karbon out last night was very pleased with the weight it has built upto and also the look of it. Really my style of bike, just got to treat her with some respect with the carbon top tube.

The 2nd is something iv wanted to do for the last few months but A never had the time and B never had a rear brake. just want to thank Hope Technology for their support over 2006 and their continued support over 2007 (Y):) very much appreciated and i feel their products to be the best for my personal choice. Also a pair of Pace RC31 carbon forks that weigh a mere 600grams.

Ponder away.............just one thing, the wheels on the Karbon are GREEN!!!! they will soon be white (Y) with Gunsmoke coloured Hope hubs. its obvious that people will critisize that, the rest of the stuff is down to personal choice etc.

Those forks looks fantastic wayne are they just the standard xc one's or have you had work done to them?

Really liking the build on the Karbon, not so sure about the yabaa, what's going on there? but the Karbon is spot on, I suppose that's all that matters really I guess it'll be your main bike?

i had the disc side drop out on the yaabaa disc tab welded on there. but to the FULL part of the drop out as opposed to the tube part. the mount is welded on +20mm to IS so a number 3 mono trial takes a 180 rotor as opposed to a 160, so a larger rotor does help things a bit better.

Rear disc is good, weird compared to hs33 but it is to be expected, i lent morton the bike yesterday as he went up shipley glen and wanted to try the bike, he couldnt get used to it, the thing with trying something different is you have to give it longer than 10minutes, if its not working dont let it go down the pan!!!! i quite like it, totally silent, no noise like a 20" bike.

Also just wanna Thank Fred and Ben @ Koxx uk for their support and with help with choice of bikes and such forth. i think thats the only Karbon in the UK at the mo (Y):) so if anyone wants a go on it when im out and about there more than welcome. like i say both bikes will be at adidngham on sunday and one of them will be lying about or in the back of the van all afternoon. it was bens ;) he needs 1100 i need 1080 :P so we sorted it out that i got that, it was pretty much only 3 or 4 rides old (Y) its so nice though.

sticker scenario, iv done it in the most convenient way, wanted to break the top tube on the carbon up a bit, put a bit of colour there so it draws attention to the carbon, and the rest, well its like me saying to you il give you £X to advertise? you'd pretty much do it. but im only advertising the fact im sponsored by them companies who support me in bike/parts form or £££ form. got another sponsor lined up which is pretty kool, will attract alot of attention from other disiplines such as 4X, DH, BMX etc etc thats confirmed but im helping with the design and testing of the products they produce.

:P i do sort of but i do intend on changing them for white rim.

ye i know what you mean joe, i thought of it this way: stickers on bike, covers scratches and stops scratches happening :P the way i put em on, is so that if my leg rubs the tube or paint or i fall off it hits stickers, rather than chunks out of me tubes and now me carbon top tube. iv also learnt a new technique if i fall off, save the bike and not myself, look after the carbon as opposed to looking after myself (Y) it sure F**KING hurts when you fall off but its less painful on the wallet £££

Me and Savage should have a Video out later this week or for the weekend if all goes to plan when were down in wales (Y) il probably take both bikes down with me to see how the discs work on the natural stuff.

bikerider i might do that (Y) yellow in karbon and green in yaabaa :)

the picture is taken down in the dungeon where i work, if you want a hint where it is, its the plnetiful stickers on the top tube of the karbon (Y) the yellow/black andred stickers. we have loads of Maxxis and Try-All tyres there very popular.

it does look if i had a problem with the carbon top tube i could probably get it out and re-bond a new one in. there is a difference between the tubes but for now im not 100% sure in which way it works, i need to start hooking things on it, seeing if the flex/stiffness of the tube helps, but for taps and stuff it feels nice.

Yeah, bones grow back, carbon fibre doesn't! Nice bikes mate!

im still too old for my bones to be braking, but yes, rather the bones than a carbon top tube :P need to catch up with you some time Ian!!! must organise a ride either your end or up shipley glen again sumtime?

its 100% carbon no fake stuff here. usually the cheap fake stuff impales people as the weave isnt as nice or as strong, iv seen carbon fail in road frames and different styles of bars and usually the consequences arent pretty :( got back from wales last night am off out street riding tonight with some alloy forks on and a higher stem set-up, just to see which i prefer. but things are so far so good (Y)

i deffinatly plan on coming back down to plymouth again. there was some real nice street stuff down there (Y):)
