core
i have been using a cheap bikehut tyre because i get them free and they are acctually real grippy( maxxis copy) but the last few nights i have pinched my tube 3 times on the same gap the first tube was a maxxis dh tube my mate has no such problem on his 20" so what i need to know is if i pay a little money and get a decent tyre will this slim the chances of pinch flats ? SomeoneNew
Just put a bit more pressure in your tube! Much cheaper and will lower the risk of pinch flats

Gavyn.
i was running 45 PSI when i did the DH tube insounds like you are using to much pressure, sounds silly i know but, I was speaking to a guy I know who does mototrials said you'd be better off running a medium pressure rather than a super hard or super soft tire because it acts like a balloon and a balloon is easier to burst when there is more air in it as the material will be more thin, use less pressure and stick to your tyre, or buy a maxxis as no doubt it will be better. core
i did do this last year but used to get lumps in my tyre so i thought this time i will just run a decent tube but that didnt work so if the decent tube and decent tyre still dosnt work i will give that ago cheers
eskimo
Have you tried a wider rim. In my experience a wider rim will help if you are using a thin one. Also make sure you are fitting your tyres correctly. Some people also use chalk dust to fit their tyres and tubes to help prevent pinchs.
