dan the trials man
22t sorry forgot about that.ThanksDan
Fish-Finger-er
22-19 sounds about right for real trials, if your into the more streety approach to stuff, you may find 22-17, but from your bike set up, would think 22-19 would be better. unless your a real powerhouse(or a closet bmx rider, covering up with a stock bike)
BobbyD
ive tried a few and find 18-16 to be the best for me. altho everyones different, mine is probably classed as quite a slack gear but works a treat for me.
steve1rc
i find 22:18 quite nice but you have either side. Personally i would go for a lighter one (19t) because i find it easer with a lower gear.
Ash-Kennard
22:19, 20:18, 16:14, the geraing to use, i dunno about 8 tooth though
RobinJI
Most people tend to use about 30 gear inch for pure trials. This might help, it definatly points out that 19t gives the right ratio with a 22t front.
Greetings
Try 22:20 for a day or two, this should be long enough for you to get used to it. Light gear ratios are really nice, they make body movement much easier as well as learning new moves. I rode 18:18 for a long while, it slightly lacked in power when doing hooks and large taps, now I'm on 18:17 and it's perfect.
future orange 660
there is no perfect gear. well there is but everybody's ill be different. best thing is to try things yourself.obviously if you are a powerhouse then you can psuh the higher gearing

Perhaps you should try other peoples gear ratio and see how it feels!
