Hi all

I am aware this topic comes up alot but there all so confusing, every one has there own opinions. To make it easier for my self i have narrowed it down, on my bike i have 2 sprockets on the back a 19 and a 17 wick of these 2 are best for my stock.

Thanks

Dan

erm, do you not need to tell us your front sprocket size for this topic to be of any use, you could be runnin a 16t,or a 52t upfront.

and also personal preference.

Try 22:20 for a day or two, this should be long enough for you to get used to it. Light gear ratios are really nice, they make body movement much easier as well as learning new moves. I rode 18:18 for a long while, it slightly lacked in power when doing hooks and large taps, now I'm on 18:17 and it's perfect.

I think it's a personal choice?? Perhaps you should try other peoples gear ratio and see how it feels!
