PaRtZ Posted January 26, 2007 Report Share Posted January 26, 2007 Lad at work asked me to rebuild his wheel after he buckled it (see attached) so i bought a new 26" rim, and same length spokes. It was built 3x so i bought same spokes and built it 3x and....its not worked, the spokes are too long lol uch gna spoke calc it now.... but any ideas? im talking like half an inch lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dan6061 Posted January 26, 2007 Report Share Posted January 26, 2007 Sure you've laced it properly?, and not muddled the (if there is) 2 different spoke lengths up?I did that when I built my wheel...and had spokes sticking out everywhere...De-lace it, and try again. Greetings Posted January 26, 2007 Report Share Posted January 26, 2007 Half an inch sounds almost like 1 cross too little. It depends on the flange diameter though, not every hub can be laced to 4x as I understand. Measure the ERD of both the rims, that should give you an idea about where the problem lies.
