Shaun H
Riding to school yesterday was NOT fun. I got blown into a mud bank on my road bike and nearly went over the bars then (25mph into the thing). Then on the way home the wind was blowing me INTO the road so cars could flatten me.Wind always makes me grumpy when I have to ride to places in it. It makes everything twice the effort for half the speed!

20inchsuperstar
we had just under 70 mph winds down here at my dads factory, th skip co. over the road had about 2/3 tonnes of various metal all welded together and bolted to the floor for some reason. it got lifted by the wind, went across there yard, went through a small building, hit a huge pole with cctv cams on top and launched the pole about 50 metres across their yard, it then went through their fence, across the road crushed a transit van FLAT! went through my dads fence, bending the 30 cm thick steel supports horizontal and then stopped i was riding and every time i hopped i moved 2 metres sideways with no effort (am i really that good ?) loli was properly tempted to get the 4.8 metre kite out with the board......................puuuuuuuure deathmatt

Si-man
We had a plane blow over at the airport yesterday, lorries fall over by work (work on the main road that leads to the prom), cars crashing, a tree fell over 2 cars infront of my mate who was driving to meet his gf. IS mental!Apparently a man got hit in the face in town by a bit of slate and it ripped half his bottom jaw off Edited January 19, 2007 by Si-man
PaRtZ
Its not been too bad to be honest here. Was hellish last night though couldn't sleep muchThink the total is now 15. including a 2 year old boy RIP
abe
That lorry was about 1/2 a mile away from me, I didnt realise it were that windy. But the hole bipass was closed through the night to investigate, As tradgic as it is there is no need to find exactly how it happened, the lorry had nothing in it and the material on the sides hadnt been pulled away to allow the wind to go through. 30 foot drop, the cabin part hit the tow path and crushed her (it was a woman by the way). This has all been on the news though so theres no point going in to too much detail.
