By MCR, do you mean My Chemical Romance, if so that sucks.

Wanted to see them this year.

Everyones bumming atreyu, they just started off as a Darkest Hour rip-off band, who incidentally are much better than atreyu, and didnt go wishy washy when make-up began being cool. - http://www.myspace.com/darkesthour

Also, i'd like to shoot anyone who calls BFMV and Trivium 'emo'.

DO NOT FEAR!!!!!!

They are only supporting MCR (gaaaaaay) in the USA tour.

When they're over here its a headlining tour ;)

Tour dates are as follows

5/3/2007

Solus Bar, Cardiff University

5/4/2007

Zodiac, Oxford

5/5/2007

Waterfront, Norwich

5/6/2007

Leeds Met University

5/7/2007

QMU, Glasgow, Scotland

5/9/2007

Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton

5/10/2007

Manchester University

5/12/2007

London Astoria

Gutted that Im going to be in Australia when they're over again, still the best band Ive seen live. Such a pumped up and brilliant performance every time seen them last few years!

As for the music, Rise Against get my vote lol. Definately get yourself Alexisonfire's new album Crisis, one of the best albums of last year! For something slightly less heavy find Hundred Reasons - Kill Your Own, another awesome album even though its relatively unknown due to small record label

36 Crazyfists are good, find their older album 'A Snowcapped Romance'. Very very good and a little different to boot. Dont mind Killswitch, their albums with the previous singer were much better, the replacement guy just cant hit the same sound with songs like The End of Heartache :(

M@

Edit: Muppet cant type :$

No-one's mentioned Unearth! :o

Absolutely fantastic metal, it's artfully heavy and feels really punchy unlike some other stuff like Children and what-have-you.

The Great Dividers is a fantastic album, can't really say much about the new one as I've not heard it but it's supposed the be excellent.

I second that!

I recomend:

Gojiar - french death metal band - dont knock them untill youve heard them they are amazing!

Hatesphere - danish metal band

Mudvayne - album "LD-50"

my favorites are metallica, childrem of bodom and trivium at the moment

URGH. chalk another one up for DIE THIS BAND

they're dire. leeds locals, and manage to bring at least 50 nob heads to any gigs they manage to wrangle their way onto support slots up in leeds.

fact: i saw a PKLL band member in the toilet of a gig take a photo in the mirror, then say "oo this will look good on myspace"
