You ever rode one? i want a really streety bike that i can flick around and do tricks aswell as trialsyes i have been on djbs on the forum, it was actually the nicest bike i have ever ridden, ive ridden a few other 24s (like my zoot-which is also very close to riding as nicely) but nothing beats his....don't forget leeson offer custom geo, so you can make it ride how you like to a point
CrOcKeR
oh yeah, forgot about the custom geo. Say u baught one second hand would u keep the ability to get it fixed for free ?
djb
yes i have been on djbs on the forum, it was actually the nicest bike i have ever ridden, ive ridden a few other 24s (like my zoot-which is also very close to riding as nicely) but nothing beats his....haha, you knows it!!!If you phone up Clive (Mr Lesson) you'll find he's an awesome bloke happy to speak for ages about his masterpieces and regardless of first/second/third/whatever owner he'll treat you the same. My 609 was second hand but when I rang him he sorted me with a new hangar and tensioner for next to nothing and offered to repair the dent I put in the stays as soon as I mentioned it without me even asking, he may charge a small fee but it would only be very small. I think he's a top bloke making top frames, mines taken the beating of a lifetime with only a couple of dents to show for it and I have more faith in this frame than any other I have ridden. Ash-Kennard
leesons are the best for street, it has nothing that even comes close to its quality
CrOcKeR
hmm might have to give them a call i like the idea pf the custom made but i really dont like the tiny tubes out back of the bike
Ash-Kennard
why? steel is stronger than aluminium therefore can be mad e more thinly to shed some weight, but still at a similar strength to ali frames, and they are repairable

arw_86
hi,first off i believe for a rider to improve they need to believe their bike wont fail on them. any slight lack of trust in your bike means half hearted attempts.(i just gotta learn to trust myself now lol)i own a leeson fluid 609 and it is third hand but people are amazed of the condition of it, its the best bike i have ever ever ridden. for street its in a league of its own. with the 360 dropouts theres in my opinion literally no flex in the stays. its just a solid as a tank. i tried the other day (for some strange reason) to try and land it heavy....but it just didnt seem to give a s**t, it just seems unbreakable to me.and another thing, with the piece of mind of knowing that if it does somehow (unlikely) break or crack, mr leeson will fix it for you. it gives me more bottle to try things knowing i have a solid bike and if i do manage to fook it up silly style i dont need to fork out hundreds for a new frame.like i said for street its phenomanal.....i can get the bike just as high (if not higher) off the ground as my 26" and for spins its ideal, bunny hops it flies and manuals it just sits on a beautiful balance point (so much so i have now been able to get better at brakeless manuals)of course the bonus of unique geo means your bike is exactly that...."unique" not one other person in the world will have a bike that feels identical to yours. unless by chance they choose the exact same geo.all in all.......solid, strong, light, unique and IMO an investment.not to mention the improvement of your ridinghope this helps....ARW
