Lawnmowerman
Just pull on the driver and it'll come off in your hand, check the bearings, axle and spacers for wear.

RobinJI
I trust you've taken off the lock ring and stuff?
basher
I trust you've taken off the lock ring and stuff? There is no need to take off the lock ring. Get a screw driver and put it behind the cog and lever it off, aslong as you dont let the driver go flying off no pawls will fall out. Then check the bearing and if neccesary replace. If you wont totake the axel out aswell it comes out the same side as the driver and just give it a firm whack on the non driver side and it will pop out.
