Peugeot 106 Problem

Right,

My partner drives a J reg 106 1.1 xn - Lately the indicators have been playing up, sometimes they wouldn't come on when you tried to indicate left or right, but now they've completely died and it seems to affect Hazard lights too.

You press the Hazard button and you can hear a click in the fuse box like it's doing something, likewise with the indicator stalk.

It seems to me like a loose connection in the wiring as it didn't suddenly go (ie it's not the fuse or the bulbs).

Am I correct? If so, how easy is it to get to the cables behind the fuse box? I'm sure that's where the loose connection is, as the indicator stalk and hazard light button are not together (ie they'd both have to go at the same time - highly unlikely). Therefore I assume it's at the back of the fusebox or before they branch off to each control...

Any ideas chappies?

Mike

yea there on a seperate switch, so is unlikely to be the wiring in the steering column, if you can hear a clicking though, first thing id do is find your flasher relay. and swap it with another relay to see if it rectifies the issue, but that sounds the most likely cause to me, either a broken/burnt out connection in the relay, or its just sticking.

I think that'll go down as my 'Overreaction of the Week™"

I do find it amusing that if, for example, my good friend Jon had said that everyone would have laughed their arse off, but then Fatboy does make a habbit of rubbing people up the wrong way so gotta expect a bit of backlash I guess. I think it's amusing that no one likes him and he seems to actually enjoy it, haha, good for you Fatso!

Fatpants always adds something jokey to threads, just ignore it. I chuckled briefly, and just scroll past it!

Thanks for your help everyone, I guess Relay has the majority vote, I shall check later :)

I told her to sell it ages ago, it's nothing but trouble! (It's French after all!)

Cheers peeps i'll let you know what happens
