What Do Think Of Comps/riders

I for one dont follow them, now will I ever enter one.

But I believe it does help the sport out, people may watch them and become intrested and start riding. Just like what the Xgames and whatnot does for BMX. It's not exactly what BMXing is about, but people see it and start to try and copy it. They are also good to watch and pick up a few tricks, learn a few things. Y'know, to get ideas from.

I like the comp scene. I meet lots of riders and they give me help if im stuck in a section. It does get really competitive in elite but im no where near that yet :P

I would absoutley LOVE to compete. Not for actually competing, but to be riding proper marked out sections, with an observer holding a stopwatch.

Of course in this shite country there are no comps, and the closest are in scotland. You guys don't realise how lucky you are to have a number of biketrial clubs around the country, when two local lads were going to hook woods at the end of the season they were told that they couldn't even get liscences from the local motorbike club, they didn't even know they existed for biketrials. Absolute bollocks if you ask me.

I'd love to organise something myself, but I want to ride rather than organise.

i want to do a few this year but im not sure if i can

im only 13 but ride a 26" bike so im not sure if the old rules still apply.

comps are ace, cant wait to start :P

matt

You can ride it at club trials just not at nationals or internation trials.

Thats why I have got a 26" now. Last year I couldn't ride a 26" in the british rounds, but now i'm 15 i can do.

Comps are good for meeting new people and having a laugh. I don't like it when people take them too seriously.

I can understand some people do, but they are alot more fun if you don't.

Anyway, back on track.........................

Comps are fun, great way the meet other riders and have a good time.

You can choose to take them serious, or chilled and fun.

At the end of the day, everyones smiling :)

Also, its a great way to improve your riding, really helps (Y)
