Never ridden a Zenith t they look good. The Control feels really nice though :) One of the best frames I´ve ever ridden. If not THE best. You can do everything on it.

But the Zenith is über cheap. 199 quid for frame with King headset :o A steal

Really?! Everyone prefers the Zeniths?! Nick Vaughns one was/is absolutely gash (which even he has agreeed with on occasion) but then compared to Steve Sangers standard Control it was even worse. The Control just feels so much nicer as so much more thoughts gone into all the angle of geometry (headangle in realtion to BB rise, Wheelbase in relation to chainstays, etc).

I'd go for a control everytime.

just curious.. is it nicks fork that makes the slack headangle?? wat fork is he runnin?

errmm.. no clear winner

yeah as said he's got some zoo's on there atm, dunno when i gave it a spin it just seem very sluggish and slack, so much so it fealt like the headset was over tightened. mind you i am used toa pashley ghz with pashley forks so it probably is slack compared to that.

Might have to agree with Craigs point there, I'm used to a Leeson pig-iron-steed not any of this new fancy malarky so I might be subconsiously biased.

common rich, i never genuinely said it was gash!

i was having a truely awful day, and looking back at old vids on longer bikes, i was just questioning if i would be better suited to a longer frame?

you forgot to point out that VERY soon after these silly moments i decided to sodd it, and that i loved the zenith because it rides so incredibly nicely.

you boys saying the head angle is slack, ride old school mout dated steel short wheelbase mongs.

ill admit when i first swapped to it from an ashton it felt a little slack, but after 15mins riding all was fine, and its certainly no more slack than a control, or any other House of Deng frame.

personally, i think the zenith rides gorgeously, and ill admit i still cant tap it very well, but then again, ive decided thats down to the fact that i simply cant tap for shit anyway.....

the higher BB makes the bike feel LOVELY for going to front wheel, and absolutely awesome on the back wheel.

overall, i love the zenith, its a very nice frames to ride.

id take one over a control still, as although theyre nice frames, theyre just not inspiring to ride AT ALL, they just feel nice, but dull.

Nick, like 2 weeks ago you were saying about how my frame would be just as nice with the head angle a little steeper than the current 73deg! and how you used to ride a 74deg Zebadi and loved the head angle!

Anyway, saying a GHZ or a leeson is outdated is like saying a mini is out dated! blasphemy!

I have to say i would probably go for a control, becuase i just don't seem to like the feel of the zeniths, also everyone recons a zenith looks uber short on me :S

But i would go for my Simtra over both of them :P i just luuurrrve it to bits :)

i know i like steep head angles guys :P i wont deny it, im just saying, you guys dont like the feel of it because you ride short short bikes with super steep head angles. your obviously not going to get on with a UCI kinda bike!

steep head angles rock, and im not a fan of the slack movement really, but i think the zenith is at the more acceptable end of the scale!
