huge
Do you know if you'll need new forks? Steerer lengths may be an issue...I guarantee you will forget to buy new grips. Happens to me every time. Edited January 13, 2007 by huge
Greetings
You will need a new rear hub as the Montys have a 106mm spacing. At the cost of significant loss in durability, you will be able to run a Profile by bending away the rear triangle. You might want to have it machined to fit the frame. The 128mm bb is fine, at least it was on my bike. No problems with the chain line. Another thing is if you're getting a Monty frame, you might as well get the right stem to go with it. This would either be a 221Ti (if you're rich) or a 221Pr if you have any common sense (which after looking at your profile pic I think you have). Personally I'd also get the 221 bars and have them extended to about 710mm. They have a great geometry although they are a bit narrow. If you're going to run the Profile without machining it down, drop me a PM because there are a few things you can do to stop the frame from cracking.Edit: if you're gettnig a Ti you will have no problems with steerer length, the head tube is ridiculously short and the headset goes inside it. A Pr should be similar to the Zona. Edited January 13, 2007 by Inur
ogre
new headset? the montys run internal i think, would you be selling ones zona? got an idea how much you'd be wanting for it?
Gavyn.
having changed from zona to pr to zona you won't need a new hub the profile fits perfectly but you need to run the snail cams on the outside.you can get away with a 118 bb with tensiles a bashring and a freewheel you may have steerer tube issues if you've cut the forks down i need 2 10mm spacers on my forks with the zona and none on the monty. Greetings
Depends which frame - the 221 Prs are standard 110mm spacing this year.AdsSo what happens if I run DD on a 221pr 07 with a 221Ti disc hub? The Ti has a 106mm spacing so if I put that hub into a PR the rotor will 2mm too far away from the disc tab. What hub do you use?
