jackamory
Hi, I'm getting a new bike (26" frame) and i'm wondering what brake setup to get (ie; on rear magura hs33 with blue lever and kool stops. on front same).Have you got any idea of what setup i should get?,what setup do you use?,and what setup works the best?thanks, jack Edited January 13, 2007 by jackamory
gianttrials
I'd say that there isn't a best setup because it's all about personal preference, but a good pair of v-brakes work well and so do maguras (i've setup hs11s to work just aswell as hs33s), but also avid cable discs and hydraulic discs. If you pay enough money you'll get a good brake. Try out other peoples bikes to get an idea of what you'd like, and maybe go for something you like the look of aswell! hope this helps,Ben g WST
paul-m-
this is one off these stupid questions cause there aint no answer to it. i use an 05 hs33 with blue koxxs and a grind and it works for me, that doesnt mean it will work for you. try and ride other peoples bikes to get an idea off what you like but its all really about trial and error.hope thats helped
