Fixed Pants™
Oh, i don't know then...Sorry.I had a CRT that kinda did this, all dodgy in the corners, as if i had a magnet up to it, and i just sorta tried to kill it by pressing the on off button loads of times and it fixed it . Krisboats
its a ctxsteve.Ha ha, classic... he means CRT... like cathode ray tube, the old style ones that are super huge at the back... from before the days of flatscreens. And i take it you mean CTX as the brand that makes cheap flatscreens. I just found the miscomunication quite funny.Erm, have you tried pressing the de-guass button on the flatscreen? They can be prone to going crazy or blurry sometimes due to interference from things like magnets, being moved etc. The de-guass (sp?) button should sort it out. If not, have you plugged it into the right place and are you sure it was the screen that died last time and not the screen and graphics card? Tomm
its not a flat screen haha, my mistake, is one of those massive big boxes with the big bit at the back steve.Degauss it then. It'll be on the screen options somewhere.
Fixed Pants™
From my experience degaussing it won't fix it, try attacking the on/off button by pressing it loads of times, normally resets it...

Krisboats
Is there a button with an S on it somewhere? Mine has S on it... which i thought in my n00b days represented the fact that the button makes the screen shake and wobble, then sharpen up.It WILL have the button, you just need to find it. RicH_87
how old is pretty old?does it even have a firmware style menu? i.e you press one button to bring up a menu, then you can scroll through the options and adjust what you want?if so it should be in there somewhere.if not, then you are screwed, just hit it hard until it either goes off or goes normal.
