Has anybody looked at the trialsfutur brake, its 2 pounds more than a normal maggie and comes with booster, braided hose, water bleed and 4-bolt clamps (Y).

Adam.

EDIT: just noticed you have to pay extra for braided hose and clamps, booster. So its 2 pound more for a maggie thats water bled. sorry guys.

By a Magura off here or CRC for kess, bleed it you self once you have gotten the hose lengths sorted!

The Echo i think will win, were in 07 now yeah and he started this in 05, i'm sure it;s been used at comps etc and is working well. maybe this could be the one greats biggest move in trials that all leaver Magura and go Echo brake. Though there is no name for this brake currently is there

My opinion is that Magura is not enough serios about making brakes for trials. The original magura pads are absolutely crap. The levers are not enough "trials specific". If deng's brake will be available, then it will be really popular. A good brake, good lever, good pads, good pistons (small enough to have room for the cranks).

So my opinion: it's just a matter of time. Deng will win...

I agree....and maguras aren´t specific trials brakes, it´s for xc...Deng made his brake thinking about trials use...

originallity - magura

copying an old product and potentially making it better - deng

one other issue is i can see it being a big market for people upgrading there whole set up, or just starting out in trials. if i was going to buy a rear maggie set up today.for a new frame. id go and get(if i was a a style concerned rider)

1 rear magura £65.00

1 set of cnc 4 bolt mounts £25.00 (and thent throw the evo set up that came with my brake away as its now redundant)

1 set of echo pads £18.00

this little lot comes to £108.00 for a single brake, which is nearing twice the price of the maggie itself. so can see how even with more expensive set up, deng can become popular, as some of the parts you pay for in the maggie set up(evo mounts, pads etc) wont be used.

note: this doesnt include what many people would do, and go and buy a deng lever at an additional £25, which makes the cost of denging the brake, and getting to the spec most people want for trials, in excess of the cost of the origingal new brake. so deng could charge £265 for front and rear brake set ups, and it would still be cheaper than the dengura brakes most people want to run now.

havent brought boosters into this, cos both set ups will want a booster buying additionally. but the deng set looks to include pads, mounts and a deng lever.

These two have it spot on but unfortunately the deng(unoriginal copies) are probably going to be the better brake due to a smaller piston. The lever being bigger than the piston the fluid is compressed therefore flows faster with the same amount of pressure. pretty simple stuff but very effective (Y)
