jackamory Posted January 11, 2007 Report Share Posted January 11, 2007 hi, i was after a rear hub with loads of engagements but when i looked at decent rear hubs i saw the prices that is when the idea struck me and here it is.Q:can you put a freewheel crank on your bike with a decent freewheel on it and also run gears on a fixed hub at the back??? TheMunn Posted January 11, 2007 Report Share Posted January 11, 2007 Yeah you can do that, all you need is a fixed rear hub but they usually have a 6-speed cassette spacing so you'll need to get a normal cassette and hack some rings off it.
