kingzl3y
Hallo,well.. as my other posts say, im geeeeeettting a z00 pitbull, my other trials bike got robbed.. so did my kona..so.. i just rode off/on road..but now i really wanna get back into the whole 'trials' scene,I cant remember what my old bike was..or any specific things. But i have a few questions that should hopfully clear some stuff up, FirstlyWhat Tyre pressure is ' best ' ..i know this is bit of a dumb question, its proberly dependant on the rider, but i have my Raliegh @ 55 Pounds / square inch..So what type of range is most effective? i got told 15-25 but that just seems to low to me.Secondly, what brake is better on the front, i know this a tight discussion on here..but i really cant be bothered to read for 323232123123 posts ..so some one just put it straight to me xDThirdly, what kinda shoes are most effective, at the moment i would class my self as an ' indie ' type of person, so i just wear tshirt jeans..and some white lonsdale.. but..lonsdale are only good for one thing..and thats ...well..i dunno..but they arent riding shoes anywhore, and i dont want to wear ' sick ' black ones, that make me look ' emo ' or greb.. no offence to them or anything..but where i live..if im emo or gred....the chavs are going to start a fight on me no doubt..and i ride by myself..so12323123211232+ chavs v me..(and my z00)..and ill proberly get raped..and my bike get robbed.. soo, i really dont want that too happen (dont care about the fight.. xD..just not my bike!) so any shoes anyone suggests?Thats about it,...i think
pitbull-91
Hi,with tyre pressures it is down to the rider to find what they like but 15-25 is about right, the lower the presure the more grip and bounce, the higher the presure the less resistance(faster). With shoes i have heard the try-all shoes are good but really any trainers will do the job, i like to ride in DC's as thats what i am used to wearing.Hope this helps,Adam

andyb
First off, i run my rear tyre at 16psi, no more, no less.Front anywhere from 10-20 depending on what im doing.Shoes wise, i have had the try-all shoes and they are good but have just got my ribo's and they are far better.Hope that helps, pressures do depend on weight a lot though.Andy

andyb
The shoes are expensive admittedly but are well worth it, they last me a year at least so its pretty good.As for helmets, im famed for not wearing one but the one i have for comps is a met, its very light but i find them all uncomfortable.Andy
pitbull-91
I would recomend giro helmets, mine is a giro havoc which i brough in a sale for 34pounds down from 50. they are relly nice, light and comfortable.Adam.
onza_kev
For shoes i'v found vans to be quite good, i think any skater type shoes are suitable really as they don't take as much beating as skateboarders so quality isn't as much as an issue as any will last you a good amount of time.
