Hallo,

well.. as my other posts say, im geeeeeettting a z00 pitbull, my other trials bike got robbed.. so did my kona..so.. i just rode off/on road..but now i really wanna get back into the whole 'trials' scene,

I cant remember what my old bike was..or any specific things.

But i have a few questions that should hopfully clear some stuff up, Firstly

What Tyre pressure is ' best ' ..i know this is bit of a dumb question, its proberly dependant on the rider, but i have my Raliegh @ 55 Pounds / square inch..

So what type of range is most effective? i got told 15-25 but that just seems to low to me.

Secondly, what brake is better on the front, i know this a tight discussion on here..but i really cant be bothered to read for 323232123123 posts ..so some one just put it straight to me xD

Thirdly, what kinda shoes are most effective, at the moment i would class my self as an ' indie ' type of person, so i just wear tshirt jeans..and some white lonsdale.. but..lonsdale are only good for one thing..and thats ...well..i dunno..but they arent riding shoes anywhore, and i dont want to wear ' sick ' black ones, that make me look ' emo ' or greb.. no offence to them or anything..but where i live..if im emo or gred....the chavs are going to start a fight on me no doubt..and i ride by myself..so

12323123211232+ chavs v me..(and my z00)..and ill proberly get raped..and my bike get robbed.. soo, i really dont want that too happen (dont care about the fight.. xD..just not my bike!) so any shoes anyone suggests?

Thats about it,...i think

Hi,

with tyre pressures it is down to the rider to find what they like but 15-25 is about right, the lower the presure the more grip and bounce, the higher the presure the less resistance(faster).

With shoes i have heard the try-all shoes are good but really any trainers will do the job, i like to ride in DC's as thats what i am used to wearing.

Hope this helps,Adam

Hi

fist thing i have to say is 'welcome' and sorry to hear about your bikes that must suck , and for the tyre pressure its up to you and what ever you find comfortable really i generally ride 30 - 40 psi , but for brakes ive heard alot of good news about the Avid BB7 mechainical disc brake and the power on 203mm is awsome , alot of trials specific shoes are great for trials riding but i dont see why people dont just get some skate shoes ' etnies , es' , DC they seem to work fine for me and you can ware them around casualy aswell.. oh and about that 'raped' thing change to single speed so if they do nick it they cant get far lol .

First off, i run my rear tyre at 16psi, no more, no less.Front anywhere from 10-20 depending on what im doing.

Shoes wise, i have had the try-all shoes and they are good but have just got my ribo's and they are far better.

Hope that helps, pressures do depend on weight a lot though.

Ahha,

Thanks for the replies (Fast aswell :turned: )

Yeah, ok.. i exsagerated about the whole ' rape '..but it wouldnt suprise me if it really did happen

So anyone know where i can get some try-all shoes from? would normal shoes do the job? maybe if i get some double sided sticky tape..and strap that on to my pedals, should work though, ay? (-.-)

Hmmm, well im going to have to get usesd to the whole pressure thing, normally ride at 55 so 20 would feel well wierd

and as the the brakes, i dont even know what kinda brakes the one im buying has, going down to see it ..anyday soon (I hope)

Ebay and google bring back shiet for Try-alls

Try all shoes from Tartybikes mate. Would still reccomend ribo's though.

Ah ok, but ..price tag? Bit expensive ..£75 for a pair of shoes

Well, i guess quality better then quantity >_<

Oh, and how about Helmets? any particular good make?

The shoes are expensive admittedly but are well worth it, they last me a year at least so its pretty good.

As for helmets, im famed for not wearing one but the one i have for comps is a met, its very light but i find them all uncomfortable.
