(chief) Posted January 7, 2007 Report Share Posted January 7, 2007 hi rite I have a big problem when i am trying to get clips into premiere.I try and get the clip in rite and it come up wit an error message saying unsupported compression format and I don’t know what to do if I have to use another camera or change the compression format but I have no clue at all how to?? Krisboats Posted January 7, 2007 Report Share Posted January 7, 2007 You need to mention what kit your using and what import settings your using.For a mini DV cam you need to have it in PAL standard and then as a "microsoft DV AVI" (should be uncompressed footage.... about 3-4mb/sec). Try and de-interlace it too, andmake sure its set to the correct framerate of your camera.For footage off a digital camera use movie maker... premiere is overkill for such low grade footage.
