woozy
I can't believe that my brand new Try-all 108.9 freewheel is skipping sometimes. About 2-3 times per ride.I'm a little worried about it. Do you have the same problem guys?
Guest
I didn't when I used mine.
andyb
Mine skipped a few times in the first few rides and then bedded in. Its solid as a rock now, although it does seem to have worn a bit quick but will keep buying them.Wouldnt worry about it mate.Andy
trials_mad
How long have you had it? If its still relatively new then maybe let it wear in. I don't suggest you try cleaning it out to speed up the process as they don't have sealed bearings.
woozy
Yeah it's almost new. I hope that it will stop skipping. Thank you guys!

LiTe
same for me, i already rode 3 weeks on it and no skipping, works perfectly. anyway dont think you have to worry about it, if skips 1 pawl you still have 2 more left to engage Edited January 7, 2007 by LiTe

Dan6061
If it's brand new, it probably just needs bedding in.If you're confident enough open it up, and get rid of some of the grease that'll be inside, and use some Finishline oil in it.Opening it should be easy enough, just undo the lockring, and i'm certain that they've got sealed bearings, so you wont get those all over the floor. Sealed bearings! pah! I think not. They are caged at best, but most definately not sealed. Those freewheel's are not designed to be taken apart either, maybe not the best advice. will_zooboy!
Oh god i havst bought one lol, what can i do to stop the skippingclean out grease or.....???Cheers, Will
Waynio
try spray GT85 or WD40 into the freewheel, if there is a bit of clogged up crap in there it just needs to be removed from the "ratchet" part of the freewheel. i wouldnt advise taking these open bearing freewheels in bits as there a nightmare to get back together.Waynio.......................
