mbuk Posted January 5, 2007 Report Share Posted January 5, 2007 HI people,i have just set up my hope trial brake at the front,and the disc is in line with the caliper,but my pads are still touching the disc slightly,is it because they need bedding in,thanks. tom 20 Posted January 5, 2007 Report Share Posted January 5, 2007 (edited) Ride around with your brake on for a while few minuites), then pour cold water over the rotor and continue riding round for the next few minuites the again pour water on the rotor, continue this for a couple more times untill the brake has a really nice sharp bite happy to help. tomreason for doing this is that the rotor gets really hot and instantly pouring cold water on it seems to do something to it, dont ask me i just know it works as i have seen it done ..EDIT: brake not fully on, rubbing Edited January 5, 2007 by tom 20 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
