trials wannabe
hi as you can tell its to do with my gearing its hard to explain it but il give it my best shot. its single speed but still has all the cogs that it would have and a derailier (rear mech) and at the moment the chain keeps slipping down and going into a higher which infact is really dangerous as i earlier found out. is there anyway of stopping my chaing from doing this ... ? more information on request thanks
flas12345
himake sure that your chain is inline with the front kog because if it is not, this is what could be causing it or it maybe that your chain is to slack and needs a link taking out, or also it could be that you gearing is not set up properly therefore you need to set them up.hope iv helped. moza
Hey, is there any sort of chain tensioner on your bike?, what is the chain tension?what is the chain line like?what state is the cog you use in, how worn is it?i would recomend getting a single cog on the rear and some spacers, this will sort a chain line problem.Moza

moza
Ok, well if this doesnt work maybe you could get a singlespeed chain tensioner and a mech saver if you are bothered about boshing it. i made my own, it realy wasnt hard, i will post some pics.Moza
gianttrials
i was running a set up like that recently and i used a shortened brake cable through the back of the mech, and held the mech in line of the gear i wanted, then tightened up the cable, that might be worth a go, but definetly check what everyone else said first (a cut down spoke works just as well as a brake cable by the way), hope this helps mate, ben g
