Sorry.

Mark W
You won't be allowed through gates onto tube lines that don't allow bikes. Basically, if you have to go on an escalator, you're f**ked, for some weird reason. Apparently bikes + escalators = raped babies or something, either way, they're not down with it. You're also not allowed on between 0900-1200 and 1600-1900. If you go on www.tfl.gov.uk, there's a tube map there that has the bike-allowed tubes listed, but it basically includes District, Circle, Hammersmith & City, and a few other ones. Just go scope it out and you should be fine. If it's an over-ground train you're golden though
Robwalker
or could i just take bike appart and tie up the wheel on my rucksake and carry the frameArron I'Anson done this coming back from hereford, when he had to go on the tube, it was fine. But he did proper dismantle his bike, and put the frame in his backpack. Have you checked for sure how far away she is from your main station, the underground map isnt actully very accurate scale wise.
Mark W
Just checked the bike tube map, and you'd only be allowed on as far as Kings Cross, where you'd have to change to the Picadilly Line to get to Southgate, whereupon you wouldn't be allowed, unless you dismantle your bike or whatever.EDIT: It's apparently 8.7miles to get to Southgate from Kings Cross, so that'd be a pretty long ride if you're on a trials bike, just as an FYI...
