Posted January 3, 2007 Report Share Posted January 3, 2007 Right, well it's time for me to buy my own Mini DV, thinking about a JVC, but heard some people having troubles with the format it saves in, is that a problem with all jvc's? should I go for something else?Spec is good : 25 x optical zoom 800 x digital zoom 2.5" LCD screen Colour viewfinder Image stabilizer Digital effects Programme AE modes DV out Digital Colour NightScopeWould be looking for a nice lense to go with it too, to spice up the vids a little, anyone know any which would fit :Something maybe like that? and cheap lenses known?Thanks alot, any other comments on cheap cameras, got about 170 or abit over to spend, but yeh.Mat Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DONT GET SOMETHING THAT ONLY ALLOWS USB OUT. the quality is shit. simple as that really.dont use digital zoom that much for trials movies, in fact you will find you will only place it as far away as need be because most people are filming individual moves etc etc. seems like na ok camera, i personally only got for PANASONIC OR SONY, but that is personal preference (and what im used to at home with televisions, VCR's, DVD players etc etc.as long as it has firewire out. go for it min. Nick Garland Posted January 3, 2007 Report Share Posted January 3, 2007 I know they are a fair amount but HD is the future and it might be worth waiting for HD cameras to come down, or invest in one now, cheapest I seen is £500, but the quality is superior to that of a normal camera.Just an idea, I am planning on waiting till they drop in price abit.
