mat hudson
well, i turned the ring the other way round so the extra metal around the countersinking for the bolts sppaced out, i think this was about 3mm of spacerage hah! but when i got a bash off someone who used to live with tarty who i cant reember the name of, it was spaced and it was fine. Mark W
If it was someone who lived with Tart, it was probably Josh, aka Deagledaddy?

RobinJI
ill ask robin(dont you just hate......) next time i see him which will most probably be later tonight, because you'll need to check the half link is the same width as your current chain or its not gonna work.he went into playground our nearest bmx shop and asked for a half link and they gave it to him and it sorted it.Was a random BMX shop in Exeter actually . But yeah, best bet is to just ask around at BMX shops, they normally have some lying around from where they've fitted them to customers bikes. Not so sure if they will fit in a KHE though. According to my LBS they wont, but I think the one I have might fit one, as its a bit of a tight fit in my KMC. Won't know until you try. Oh yeah, and sorry, but they only gave me the one half link.As for the chain/bashguard thing, either weight until it wears the bash guard into shape (works fine, seen it done on a mates bikes running the same set-up), or just put some thin washers between the chainring and the bashguard. About 1mm should do it.
Mark W
The KHE is a pretty manly chain, and as such only something like a Shadow half-link will fit, which is pretty much why I name-dropped it. Just look around on the forum, or even ask the guy who mentioned having a half-link chain (whoever it was ) in this thread if they've got a spare link you could pilfer? Ash-Kennard
space no more than a mm otherwise you'll tear the threads out like i did i sent mine to clive, who not only machined it down loads, it is now a 20tooth cog in the front, and the allen bolts which hold them on go through the bash, the same kind of thing that connects a mech hanger to a frame, but 5 of them
dan the trials man
I have sorted all that out i just need a half link or two because i'm rubbish at using a chain tool and the one from tarty snapped first time i used it .Thanks againDan
