But could that be the worst chain tensioner ever? I think so

I think not, i think its rather good! A rather proud bodge - thanks to Tom Rigg for the pointers...here are some better pics. Tension is awesome and its quite well hidden under the chainstay

i did not run out of spray paint...i changed my mind after spraying it completely white, and stopped when i kinda liked it..

good thing about it is that it hides scratches really well since it breaks up all the outlines..

not sure about the "chavs wouldn't look twice" comment... :ermm: ..is that a compliment?

chain tensioner does look seriously odd..i agree..but it keeps the chain super tight and is much harder to hit than a mech..

cheers,

adam

Hidden? how can you claim that is hidden in anyway? You've added big long unescessary bolt's to hold it on, and a roller which is about as big as your rear cog....

Sorry but I think it looks awful, would have been better IMO had you just painted the forks black.

Well, If they see a bike all spanking and shiney they will think, Corr i bet thats worth abit, Lets nick it and sell it to dodgy dave for £50, But They will look at the spray and think "Crap bike" So in a way its a good thing to hear, Im sure you'd rather not have it nicked :)

you seem to misunderstand the concept of "hidden" in this case..

i did not, and have never attempted to (nor plan to) make an invisible chain tensioner. "Hidden" in this case refers to the fact that the tensioner is inside the chainstays and is such "protected" from certain bone crunching impacts (often encountered when sidehopping). Conventional derailleur-style devices are not shielded in this way and are not, therefore, as "hidden".#

now f**k off.

forgive the slightly poncy pose...

Yes 'tis quite camp lol only joking...

Looks well good, very nice paint job in fact, interesting tensioner to say the least lol

Nathan :)

PS: If I were you ad101, I'd edit your previous post before the administrators shag you over - please take this advice seriously and kindly (Y)

Nor did I say you did. An invisible one wouldn't need to be 'hidden' as you can't see it anyway. duh.

I know you were referring to the fact that it was 'out of the way' but I thought i'd take the piss out of you seeing as you made such a bollocks of the aesthetics of the entire bike.

If you don't want to recieve comment's about your bike, you f**k off and don't post it, or at least sort out the paint job so it looks half decent.

EDIT: IMO of course
