My Tensile Is Stuck On Onza Cranks!

hey,

i have some onza cranks and my tensile freewheel is stuck on it.

i have tried getting it off with a bb tool but the freewheel is on so far it doesnt give any bite when you turn it.

how can i get it off, without damaging it?

i dont care about the cranks, they can be cut up if i have to.

steve.

EDIT: i have already tried hitting it round with a hammer and screw driver too.

tried that, didnt move one bit.

shall i just cut the crank arm up so i can get it off if i dont care about it?

seve.

no

Desmantly freewheel, so its just the bare body left on the crank arm.

Put crank arm facing upwards in a vice, get some stillsons, and put on the freewheel body, and simply turn the freewheel body off of the crank arm... then put freewheel back together again...

Works everytime...

i dont really want to take it apart to be honest, id rather chop the crank arm off, but if there a simpler way then i'd do that.

if you put the tool on does it sit in the freewheel at all? say 2 or 3 mill even?

if it does then use an old rear axel from a mtb wheel or a long bolt that fits through the centre of your crank arm and the tool, fasten a nut at either end using washers to keep them from going inside the crank arm. tighten the two nuts so as the toolis held tightley in place,

place the tool in a vive ant then aa big adjustable spanner overyour crank arm (for extra leverage), then just unscrew it.

i never failed to get anyone's off this way, however the tool wont even reach a few mm into the freewheel, then it might well be , GAME OVER!

mate i have a perfect plan,

take your bb tool, put it in a vice facing upward, then place the cracnk arm on it, with the splines interlocking with the freewheel. place your left hand on the crank above the freewheel and push down, then get a large rubber mallet or hammer ans hit the crank arm anti clockwise to unscrew the freewheel. it was worked for me every time to this day.
