Al_Fel
I love the way all you people just think it was sadam that did all this shit. He didn't go round doing all these bad things he told people to do them and they abided. I really don't know the full story or much about what happened over there for the last how ever many years but I do know if you kill the leader of a bunch of bastards you've still got a bunch of b*****d. Tomm
I'm not starting an argument, but I cannot see how imprisonment would solve a punishment for a crime of this degree. I don't know quite how to describe this but I tend to think of it has Saddam was an evil person, responsible for innocent deaths...murders. Imagine if this guy was responsible for the death of your family, girlfriend ect and you were still alive to live with the aftermath. What would you expect from this trial? Well, do you agree with the death penalty for people in this country? You can say what you like, you're not gonna convince me that the death penalty is right. fathopper
The hanging was an easy way out for him, he should have been left to rot in jail with no parole or anything
Dr. Nick Riviera
That may be the case Tom, but if you had lived with it, i'm sure your standpoint on the subject would be different. but to each their own..

BONGO
not being funny, but why is a link with somebody snapping their neck whist falling to their death allowed on the forum. I thought it was meant to be kept clean from porn and violence/disturbing images, as it is open for all to see.I nearlyt clicked on it and realised just in time. I'd have been pretty pissed off if i saw that. I know what its gonna look like, i don't want to see it.Why not pass it round your msn's if you wanna show that. Garenteed, someone will go on that who didn't mean to or want to, and regret it.

And fair enough with people having such a strong hatred of him, but i still can't see how you could get yourselfs to watch it. Each to their own though. mods
Can't believe they still hang people. It's pretty sad I think, to be hanged is a pretty terrible way to die. Should have just locked him up for the rest of his life if you ask me... But then I'd be a crap leader of a country so perhaps we should just leave it to the experts, America. They seem to know what they're doing.lol that must be a joke, the whole thing has been a farse. As has been said before they should hav wasted him in the hole that day. Tony Harrison
Now Bush and Blair are a guilty as Saddam, why don't they get the same treatment.I thought you'd f**ked off for good? This is an interesting argument, but he had to go. Come on, he enjoyed torturing people and was quite happy to have people killed on a mere suspicion of doing something wrong. It was a bit different living in Saddam's Iraq to living in the US or UK today.Alan - yes, we'll never rid ourselves of the 'bunch', that's for sure. I watched the video out of curiosity, as I knew (having read first-hand accounts of what happened in Abu Graib) I wouldn't feel sorry for him in the slightest. Watching the hostage beheadings, etc, would be sick - I'd hate to see them, and there's a big difference - they were people, Saddam was not. He was a deluded animal. Sameer
Don't (perhaps unintentially) insinuate Saddam and those beheadings are related. They're not. Don't use them in the same sentence because it acts as another justifiable reason to have killed him to all the little kids on this forum. The fact that people (under 18) are desperately trying to seek down this video and then cheering and l0lzing or whatever is something I really don't want to think about. If you find any pleasure whatsoever in a man's death (and in such a way) then you ought to reconsider who you are in this world.Anyway, I don't post here! Do go on. tipus
havn't read all of the posts.. But Bush deserves as much as saddam to die. He didn't have the slightest proof now did he? They should both have been killed, or sentenced to a lifetime.

I'm well aware that both are totally different and unrelated, and that the beheadings don't justify his killing. The thing is, whatever happens, we're never going to be happy with leadership, capitalism, communism or anything else. There'll never be equality, worldwide peace or anything like it. Bit shit, but it's how it is...
Has anyone seen my shoe?
This is directed to those who were going on about him being sentanced and put to death by his own people. The Americans and British knew what was going to happen to him as soon as they handed him over. Its like me giving a chav the keys to a ferrari, asking him nicely to look after it with no payment. I really don't know the full story or much about what happened over there for the last how ever many years but I do know if you kill the leader of a bunch of bastards you've still got a bunch of b*****d.Although the Republican Guard were largely gang f**ked during Gulf War II: The Resurrection, as were most of the Iraqi armed forces. The so-called 'insurgents' operated without Saddam's leadership, or with the leadership of most of the infrastructure Saddam had put in place, so basically they're just a regular bunch of stupid c**ts who are able to go around killing civilians for the benefit of - apparently - civilians?John - there are quite a few warnings on that video page that it's graphic and so on, so if you disregarded all of those and then carried on watching you're pretty much taking responsibility for it. It may even help people kind of relate the hanging to real life. It's easy to go "Yeah, we should do ______ to Saddam" simply because the image of "Saddam" is just this big evil dictator, when he's actually a real person. Seeing that actual person getting killed may make some people realise what's actually going on, and that the whole thing isn't just people talking about what's going on, and that it IS actually happening in the world which we're all living in.
