Fixed Pants™
If you need to close it just press esc (or the conventional alt and f4) , but other than that, i don't know why it's doing it.
RR_Trials
I don't want to close it i want to get to that extra tab that lets me end all the proccesses that let me speed the old PC up..

Tomm
My guess is that your computer's about as fast as frozen treacle? Those white screens always happen, I don't know if there's an exact cause, just general crapness. Format the computer, it's the answer to everything. I don't understand how people can use a computer when they get to that state, slow computers really frustrate me. So in answer to your question, it's one of the diseases that computers get and it needs to be put down I'm afraid. Say your goodbyes (back up your stuff) and give it the injection. The alternative is to try and delete whatever virus/spyware/other crap is causing it. But this won't work, and you'll spend hours on it.
RR_Trials
the white screen in the background is my background i thought i would make it look all posh for all the guys @ TF lmao. But on a seriouse note my PC is now not that slow i added an extra 512 the over day and it runs prety fast now, apart from when it keeps fookerin crashing. RR_Trials
so anyone know what i have got to do or is it that time, to re-do the whole damn thing...
Fixed Pants™
Does it really matter/ is it doing it all the other windows? If not, there's no point formatting shit just because you can't see the performance of your comp.
Spikenipple
To get task manager up, use Ctrl+Shift+Esc, not ctrl alt del.

Sorry you had to hear it from me.But yes, you're talking about virtual memory and it's very much advisable. However, unless you've changed some settings it should be working, don't touch it. An_toin3
not too sure if I undertand what's exactly your problem ? but if it's because you don't have the X and the other menu, just double click anywhere as long as it's on the grey part of the box you opened up, everything should come back to normal, works for me Edited December 29, 2006 by An_toin3
