Si-man
Hi All you need to do is get some thinners its a paint dissolver and put it on a cloth and rub it on your rims but don't let it get on the paint work ok .hope it helps luke No you dont, because it leaves an oily film.Use turps or white spirits 1st to get rid of brake powder and tar if you use it.Then, hot soapy water (fairy works best) and give it a good clean to make sure all the turps is gone.Wipe with a clean cloth until dry, and you should have one mother f**king good brake.Oo, do the same to your pads aswell, just be careful with the turps Also, if you have a grind, then theres no need to dry it, just ride about dragging the brake and wait for the squeals

Si-man
i never asked about that i need to clean it, plus i dont use a grind!!!lolJohny I just told you how to clean them...That is THE best way. The fairy liquid degreases the rim. The turps cleans oil and tar/ brake dust.Simple

jonny_smith
yeah just warm soapy water and then tricoethaleen (i'm sure how you spell it) on the braking surface works a treat. Just make sure you don't get any on your paint because it'll strip it off

kieldp
The best way I find is to get a can of degreaser, spray it around the rim, let it settle for a few minutes and then wash it of with a hose.
