powerz
Well it depends on what size your chainring/sprocket is, but usually people run a 18t freewheelas for what brand freewheel if your on a budget id go for the acs claws welded freewheel around £15or if you have some money put aside then go for the tensile for around £35 or Try-All 108.9 for around £50(try using the spell checker)
GTF
Dont get a freewheel.Get a Hope Pro 2 or Chris King hub instead.
monty-adam
Dont get a freewheel.Get a Hope Pro 2 or Chris King hub instead.Dont you think thats abit extreme, he is a novice, if he went and spent all that money on a chrisking or hope pro that would be a waste! The welded Acs claw will be fine for him, If he wants to save him self the upgrade later get the try-all or tensile
Nuke Bowel
Dont get a freewheel.Get a Hope Pro 2 or Chris King hub instead. Not the best of ideas... considering I think he rides mod for a start. So yerr... If I was you I would go for a tensile 18 tooth freewheelHere.Luke. Orgun_Donor
Dont get a freewheel.Get a Hope Pro 2 or Chris King hub instead. That and he rides a mod, so a CK would cost 400ish quid! and not fit his bike, due tot he strange rear rim sizes on the missions(20" instead of 19" if i remember rightly). So in the end he rear wheel would be alot more then the bike.As people have said for people new to trials an ACS Claw Welded will be fine, but the tensile, if you have the money then consider the tensile as it will feel nicer then the ACS. huge
I think the freewheel may be at the back on this particular bike, so a 18 tooth would be ridiculous. If the freewheel is on the back wheel and not on the cranks like more expensive bikes then I would reccomend an acs claws 14 tooth available here http://www.wadescycles.co.uk/shop/asp/prod...s&showtop=
Walleee
Dont get a freewheel.Get a Hope Pro 2 or Chris King hub instead. Now that's shit advice if i've ever heard it.He ask's about freewheel's which are considerably cheaper than even cheap freehubs, and you advise him to go for the most expensive money can buy, yet it won't even fit in his frame.Your shite..... Nuke Bowel
I think the freewheel may be at the back on this particular bike, so a 18 tooth would be ridiculous. My bad. Yerr if it's on the back you currently have it..Go with an ACS. Your shite..... Edited December 28, 2006 by ilukeee
Greetings
If you can do with an 18T freewheel, get the cheapest one which doesn't require maintenance. This would either be a welded ACS or a Monty if you want something a bit better. Acutally, if you're a complete novice, more engagement points will make things easier for you.
