merseytrial
I am on the mbk as I am testing it for geo until my proto frame comes in january. (expect lots of vids then!!)Designing a new frame Congratulations dude. I like the look of the Gloable ti frame you designed with the bent seat stays. I can uderstand the logic that was behind it.Is the proto type 4 a new ashton? Your not gettin board of short, low an steep geo are you?? Lookin forward to seeing the Proto. Im guessin its going to be 1085 with + 20ish bb with a steep head for the party tricks. But then again Ashton moans in mbuk about bikes becoming more like trial bikes and less like mountain bikes ... I bet this is a tricky one for yay? Any way best of luck wiith it all and its going to be cool to see what you come up with adam
Ali C
the global was an interesting one, I had nothing to do with the actual frame looks, I just said what geo I wanted (I thought the frame was possibly the ugliest ever made!!)Same is happening with ashton, I bullied martyn into making a frame with different geo, I am doing UCI comps next year, so expect UCI type geo. I dont know what the actual frame design will be, thats up to martyn, I am sure it will be great though.
Onza Kieron
Seems strange Martyn moaning about bikes looking more like trials than mountain even though he basically introduced the whole top tube, seat post spine design...I personally would like to see a UCI riding frame come from this but with the looks of the Ashton, of course with the Famous Ashton seat..If the seat goes I will hate you all But keep us posted Ali

GTF
Which geo will the frame have?
Ali C
I cant confirm what the final frame will have, but I asked for roughly 1085 wheelbase, 380 chainstays, +15 or 20 bb, 71.5 degree head angle.
Tomm
Does that count as a high BB frame then Ali?
chrishayton
Does that count as a high BB frame then Ali? lol. i think ali counts high bb as over 35mm, he gets away riding his mbk as its apparently 'mid bb'
Ali C
over 30mm is high bb, I would never go more than that

Mat Smith!
Ali's MBK is the nicest riding bike ever, FACT. Vee brake or not, it's amazing, even with the possition of his MONTY bars lol.Love youxMat
Guest
I'd say the monty bars are probobly instrumental to the feel of that bike.
