The lemonade man
If it's big enough I'm pretty sure you can get it out by tensioning the spokes around it.
Nick Garland
Its pretty hard to get rid of flat spots, its alot easier to get a new rim, and I am not sure about tensioning spokes around it, I thought that only worked when its an up down buckle due to tension not a flatspot where rims screwed. mat hudson
"john from greensyles guide" you will need: spoke key big f**k off mallet bit of wood (2x4 or something about a foot of it)remove spokes around dented area, stand wheel on something so the dent is off the floor, place wood over the dent lengthways and smash with mallet until the flatspot is out. worked when i hung up and put a dent so large in my rim the v break arm tore through the sidewall of my tyre once the flat spot is out you need to respoke(?) that area of the wheel and it should be fine. mat hudson
if its just an up down buckle then tighten where it needs to come down and loosen on the other side of the wheel where it needs to go up.
