my GF got an ipod for Christmas off me and i was told you can get something called "ipod Utilities" so you can add and remove songs at freewill rather than using itunes which seems to limit what you can do. I've searched the sofeware and found it but it also seems there are other similar stufff.

Which is the best to use? where is it? dont want to be loosing songs etc everytime the ipod goes from my computer to her computer etc.

any help is much appreciated, Tim.

Go to Itunes > Preferances > iPod > Manually transfer songs (or something like that)

Then you can drag + drop, or delete songs from your iPod at free will (Y)

When you open up itunes and you ipod is connected to the PC click where is says your ipod in the menu and on the first page near the bottom there should be a little check box say manually transfer songs or something, click that and apply the settings then you should just be able to drag and drop.
