Sorry to make a new topic about this but its really starting to annoy me now.

I bought my xbox 360 package a litttle while ago so i used the ethernet cable to connect it stright from the xbox to the modem and it worked ok for a while but now it just wont work and i dont know why.

I tried plugging it in the other day and it just wont connect even though i havnt changed anything atall. i go through the troubleshooter thing and it just says its disconnected.

Next i tried connecting the xbox to my wireless laptop and now when i run the troubleshooter it says "wired" but thens fails on the IP adress check!!! Noooo. You think i will have to get a wireless adaptor?

Its so annoying, i really want to get online!

I could really do with some help with this so could anyone give me any advise or tips to make it work?

Any help would be fan diddly astic.

it might be worth unplugging your modem power for ten minutes so it resets itself - any number of things could have gone tits up going by what you say and being an xbox youll have no way of finding out whats broke

Yea i know, it sucks. Ive emailed them and they just replied saying to contact customer support so i think ill end up doing that. sound slike best bet.

reset your modem (pull out power cable), then reset your router... job sorted, i always used to get that problem with my xbox live, when it says ip adres cannot be established.

do you have the gold acces to live? if you have silver you can only play on weekends (i think)

got a 360 for xmas, il be back on live soon

oh once you reset your modem, wait for all 4 lil yellow lights to come back on.
