Fixed Pants™ Posted December 22, 2006 Report Share Posted December 22, 2006 So i've ordered a Creepy Crawler from DiscountCyclesDirect, i was just wondering if anyone knows if the site is reliable or even real, as it still says it's 'processing' my tyre and i'm starting to worry as i idealy need the tyre for christmas day or boxing day at the latest... Yes, i have already ordered it so it's too late if it is a dodgy website, but ordered it as it was a quick decision in an attempt to get it for christmas day...Also, when i put my freewheel onto my new hub, will i need the freewheel tool as i'm low on money and don't really want to be spending 10 quid on a freewheel tool which i will only use once. Joe_Elding Posted December 22, 2006 Report Share Posted December 22, 2006 My mate ordered a set of tyres from there, it was fine you wont need a freewheel tool, just screw it on with youre hand and then push the brakes on and pedal forwards and it tightens itself up. Then it screws on the same way you pedal. So it tightens as you ride. It's actally the most fun thing to install onto your bike.Just make sure you don't go gapping befor it's tight. I've told you, but you'll forget. I've installed 3 freewheels and i've gone for a gap each time - just to curb mind. I'll never learn, i'll brake a rib one day. I think at the end of the day you did get a sweet deal on the tire so can't complain toooo much.And finally I know its a long shot Glen but do you have a mate you could borrow a 19" tire from?
