matt rushton
I dont understand cranks like those are they square taperd? isis? or something completley different? And why do they have a bolt on the side?
matt rushton
sorry about putting two posts up Edited December 21, 2006 by matt rushton
A!!
The bolt is to attach the sprocket to the cranks, hence the holes in the sprocket They do look rather nice though, a lot better than normal trials specific ones do.
matt rushton
I meant the bolt on the left hand side crank, near where it would go onto the bb.Matt Rushton
ollie2000
tarty dave uses them well the proto ones anyway, there bmx 3 piece cranks more info heresome bmxers have left side drive Edited December 21, 2006 by ollie2000
matt rushton
[attachmentid=8873]I mean the bolt on the crank closest to the camera, and it cant be for the sprocket or the right hand side would have to have one. ollie2000
on the pic you got the pedal hole the bb hole and then two holes for the sprocket one of them being for smaller sprockets like 17t 18t ones
A!!
I don't really see what you mean, but isn't the crank closest to the camera just an upside down left one. As they are right and left hand drive compatible, so the left has the bolt in as well. So both arms have two sprocket holes. I think thats what you mean. Vasil
For 145 punds I think people should buy a echo cnc or something liek that not 2 tubes welded to rings...I think it costs too much...maybe they rock but for me they do not look enough professional...maybe some else color and what bb goes in it?interesting..are these crancks safe? Well Dave from tartybikes has been testing them (see the link underneath the pictures in this thread), and as far as i know, he still has them now. And they said that they were very strong and very stiff. And they fit to a bmx bb, which in many cases people prefer.
26inch
They cost 145 because theyre hand made in the USA, not just alu billet put in a cnc machine in taiwan. All the splines etc on profile are really precisely made so they are real stiff etc.

ollie2000
there the sprockets that you will have to use they come in 18t and 20t and all profiles colours i thinkand you will have to use a euro bb to fit them to your trials frame Edited December 22, 2006 by ollie2000
ben_travis
ADAMANT cranks for the wim, im afraid
eskimo
Not so sure about this idea. No one has mentioned the obvious fact that cnc cranks don't flex. 3 piece bmx cranks do flex. Therefore more power. You know where i'm going with this anyway.
