lawrence osborn Posted December 19, 2006 Report Share Posted December 19, 2006 hey guys,i have just built my new echo back mod wheel, i have tightend all the spokes to the same tension and 8/10 seem to long is there any way i can fix this problem or are they just to long, i used the spokes off of the 2005 t pro back wheel and built it on to the echo 06 back wheel if that helps? so have i just built it wrong or are they to long?cheers lawrenceany pics just ask Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

sUm Posted December 19, 2006 Report Share Posted December 19, 2006 If most of them are a bit too long and it's not a case of improper lacing, you could always file down the tops of the spokes (from the outside of the wheel). It's not exactly the ideal situation as it could be argued that you will have less thread contact between the nipples and the spokes, but if the spokes are only slightly too long it's probably worth not having to buy new spokes over.
