JohnyMilton
wel last night i was trying to learn a crankflip over a gap, and i was almost gettin it until my front wheel dipped down to much and i went over the bars head first. as i landed-on my head-my Giro Xen cracked and snaped inside and outside of the helmet!! so i was forced in to using my mates 661 dirt lid and its the worst helmet ever it doesnt hold ur head in it at all it jumps around all over the place:so the reason for this topic is to see what you like better is it Giros or dirt lids or do some people not wear a helmet?Cheers Johny Edited December 19, 2006 by JohnyTrials

anzo
On this note, sorry to kind of steal the thread...although this was made about a week ago, so I'll make some use from it. Something which caught my attention when walking around the bikes in toys r' us (haha). Selling full face helmets for kids...don't get me wrong, promote the safety and all that, but They were made especially for 'kids'.I don't imagine 'kids' throwing themselve down tracks all over the country like (ideally) what a full face helmet is for...or dirt bmx or whatever. So, kid riding along at a walking pace...falls off a kerb or something, the weight of this helmet will more than likely be heavier than his head...thus probably breaking his neck or other spinal injuries. All where a normal lid would suffice?I don't exactly agree with it, but I suppose the purpose of this helmet is aesthetics over function.
