nb88
Yeah ive tried, seems the best signal i can get in here is 20%, then when my computer moves a slight amount it disconnects. I just want a good solid signal anywhere in my room really.

poopipe
54g, linksys wrt54g router, netgear wg311 54mbs pci card in computerI got a bigger antenna on the end of a long wire for mine and it sorted my wireless woes out (went from no reception at all to about 20% in my old house) - not least cos i could move the antenna out from behind the large metal case that was blocking the signalmine only cost about a tenner and looks like a simpler verison of the omni directional job (was 6db i think) Edited December 19, 2006 by poopipe
tomturd
You could get a USB wireless dongle thingy and attach it to the end of a 5m USB extension lead, so you can move it around to get a better signal. I did it and moved the dongle thingy just outside my door and more than doubled the signal strength.
