trials rules
Hiya, ive recently got a try all tyre and am currently running it at a pressure where if i gap across the level to a kerb or something i can feel the rim. I was just wondering if the tyre will stop pinch flats at this sort of pressure and is the way that most people ride?Cheers
ogre
put more air in if your rimming out! it'll stop pinch flats so far but i wouldn't trust it on drop gaps to lips/rails etc. might be talking shit though lol.
An_toin3
yer you're talking shit Try-all sticky are awesome, I run them and only time i have a pinch flat is because the threads are non-existant And I did some rail stuff, never had any problem Edited December 18, 2006 by An_toin3

bikerider
Out of interest, what do people find the best pressures to run with try-all stickys? I've had them quite low recently and they hold really well, but it's quite hard to 'work' the bike onto an edge cause it's always on the rim? try 20- 25 psi? Orgun_Donor
ive settled on about 18 - 20 on the rear. seem to be just right for me
An_toin3
Around 25-30, because of the cold here, so it comes back at around 20 psi
Jsy Ben
18-20psi never more than 20 i find is fine for anything
Dan6061
I have around 10psi in my Creepy Crawlers. Might pump them up a bit soon...
Egg Fried Rice
Because the sidewalls on the try all tyres are so stiff, i run it about 15 psi i find it to be perfect. and i have never pinched it either - most probably due to their thick and stiff sidewalls.JK
Technical Tom
I've had my Try-all tyre for about 5-6 months and i have never pinched yet, and i have dented 2 rims whilst using the tyre, and i don't run super hard pressure, best rear tyre imo ever! Damon W
a few ov my m8s run/ran them....a freind of mine absolutely loves his. i think they r are the best compramise on 20" of springyness and pinch resistance pump your tyre up
Clarky
pump pump pump it up
Savage
Bit of a mix up here between 20 & 26" psi, can't believe how low some run their tyres. I do a curb edge test, don't like to rim out, test on the day to allow for hot/cold weather.Ben.
Si-man
Those pressures me be good for you, but he may be heaver.Just pump them to what YOU think is right.
joe b
How much air pressure you have in your tyre is purely personal preference (f**king check alliteration out ). But, generally, the lower the tyre pressure the more prone you are to pinch flats. It's common sense, really .Cheers,Joe.
Ben Cox
lol am i the only one that runs top 30's begining 40's?
Tall_Rob
i'm fat so i'm running 40psi in the rear and just over 30 psi in the front for some grip when gapping to front wheel.Don't like rimming out, it takes all the feel and bounce out the move that you are doing.Rob
