RobinJI
The 1st one is right, but the one shown in the picture and the one you have are the 20mm hub versions. You need to order the one in your 1st link, but the top option, rather than the QR20 one.The one posted above is for use on the rear so on the front it would only work with a 183mm rotor. This is because suspention forks with 20mm through axles have a wider spaced disc mount on the than normal QR forks. So a wider adapter is needed. Anthough I have always just used thick aluminium washers on my freeride bikes forks.
Orgun_Donor
Im sure my avid is a rear 185, with IS mounting not Post.... and my forks are +20, so need a 205 rotor Im confused!

RobinJI
Compared to a rear mount all front mounts are +20. If you have a 185mm rear mount, the this will work with a 205mm rotor on an IS front. If your forks are IS front+20 then it would need a 225mm rotor. What forks are they?As for the originaly question. Its the top option in the 1st link. so: 74mm Post to INTL STD 203mm

RobinJI
Yeah. Its definitely that: 74mm Post to INTL STD 203mm then dude.I was more asking Orgun_Donor. He said his forks were +20, and I just cant think of any that are. Unless hes referring to my last post about IS front mounts being 20mm bigger than IS rear mounts. To answer Orgun_Donors question, if you have normal mounts on your forks, and your running a 185mm rear adapter, yeah, you'll need a 205mm front rotor. All I'm trying to say is that IS rear and IS front are different. IS front mounts take a 20mm larger rotor than IS rear mounts if the same caliper/adapter is used. This is because when the standard was decided most bikes ran a 20mm larger front rotor than rear. and this system aloud only one caliper to be produced, cutting production costs, but still allowing the preferred setup of the time of a slightly larger front rotor than rear.Due to this. a 185mm adapter for the rear will work with a 205mm rotor on the front, a 203mm adapter for the front will work with a 183mm rotor on the rear, a 185mm rotor for the front will work with a 165mm rotor on the rear, a 160mm adapter for the rear will work with a 180mm rotor for the front............. and so on.Hope that cleared things up for everyone. I've played around with this quite a bit on various bikes, and can assure you that is how it works. :$ Sorry for the rant.
Orgun_Donor
hmm i could of sworn my forks were +20.Im running 24Seven Sky Forks. Always had to have 180 rotor, might just of been the caliper.
RobinJI
Hmm.. Well the full bike on there website has a 160mm rotor on it, and if there forks were +20 then they would need to have a caliper meant for a 140mm rotor. Which I'm pretty sure Hope have never made. So judging from that, there a standard front IS mount. I suppose you could call all fronts +20 compared to the back mounts. But it would just confuse people. Its easier and more correct to just say front and rear, and make sure you know the difference.
Orgun_Donor
It still states a 180 rotor. Where did you read 160?Under the part "the bike" - Last sentenceStopping power is through a rear Magura HS33 and a front Hope Trials mono disc brake with 180mm rotor. RobinJI
Oh right, cool. well the one on there site has a 160. But that would just mean you had a 180mm caliper. And the avid makes sense, 185mm rear adapter on the front should be a 205mm rotor with a standard front IS mount, but I can't imagine you noticing the difference of 1mm each side, so all is good. Hehe was running a 200mm disc(while waiting for my 203 avid, and that worked a bit to well ill see how the 203 holds up)
