13sec 1/4 Mile

3ltr V6, single turbo modified engine (a DeLorean has as standard a 2.85L V6). 13.34 secs. I think thats damn impressive! Especially from something Quintin Wilson describes as 'a piece of crap'.

sorry but drag racing is for gays, it's possibly the worst motorsport ever, and one of the reasons the americans suck so much.

ironic also, that so many evos are seen on the drag strips, a car which is basically thoroughbred for rallying, i.e the hardest corners in motorsport.

plus i can't understand peoples massive fascination for deloreans, if it wasn't for BTTF they would be down in history as one of the biggest flops the car industry has ever seen.

as for the video, the delorean clearly got a much better light than the evo, and down the track the evo was gaining all the way....still, i'll admit it's the fastest non stick frying pan i've seen.

Engine sounded like a bag of rusty nails aswell :-

Kinda quick upto the 1st gearchange but it then seemed to bog down a fair bit, and as said the evo had an appauling reaction and was catchin all the way up the strip!

Still funny though, bet the driver of the evo felt like a bit of a tool! :turned:

M@

Oh and just lookin through the guy's photobucket account, Im assuming this is said car's engine bay

Sparkly! Must've ploughed a lot of money into it though!

For one that evo is obviously standard, secondly the evo got a poor start and 3rdly if there was any corners involved that car would be left for dead, my dad has a evo 6 with 400+ bhp we go to an event every year called "ten of the best" now some of them are impressive to watch, Norris designes evo and rc developments evo who tunes my dads evo 6 are running in the 9secs 1/4 mile think norris did a 9.35 at summet like 170mph terminal speed. these are proper not that shit thing

Fastest fwd car in europe - mk1 scirocco ;)

With a 1.8t and over 380bhp....

As fred said anything is quick with money thrown at it. There's some videos on you tube of funny little indian cars with gsxr engines. Fly along they do! Doesn't necersarily make them well engineered or good cars though.

Dout that aswell, any vids? "10 of the best" is where it's at some fwd cars there with like 600bhp really good.
