Muel
Do you have a Magura Bleed Kit? As far as I am aware this is the only way to get the soft jaws needed for clamping the hose in a vice so that you can then tap the fitting in with a hammer.Have you tried dripping washing up liquid into the hose?If you need pics, check this out.http://cleanbikes.co.uk/FAQs/Fitting_a_splitter.htmThe link is for fitting a monty splitter, but you can pick out the bits you need.Hope This Helps! Muel
Just had another little thought, rather than using washing up liquid and risking contamination of your mineral oil, why not use the oil to ease the fittings in! (It is oil after all...)
Gavyn.
1. just make the clamp jaws yourself. Get a block of wood about 4cm x 4cm x 3 cm, drill a 5mm hole in the centre of it, then cross section it through the hole.2. clamp the hose in your new holder in a vice, leaving about 10mm of hose sticking out the top of the jaws use a little bit of wd40 on the barbed fitting and tap it in with a hammerRepeat step 2.job donegav Edited December 15, 2006 by Gavyn L
