Dual Discs are amazing, until all the spokes fall out of your rear wheel...

Changed my mind, I would much rather have dual HS33s, Ground and some sticky pads. then your wheels don't fall apart when you hop about.

That only happens if your a complete retard and don't check your spoke tensions :S yeah if you let them go slack your wheel is going to die but who fault is that?!

Haha word. 1 wheelbuild every 3 months.

Never had dual disc have you? I guess you haven't heard about metal fatigue either which is the largest problem with spokes used on a rear disc setup. If they get fatigued, slack spoke tension is the ONLY way you can ride and keep your wheel in one piece (needless to say riding a wheel like that is not fun). Get the tension up and they'll break within seconds.

edit: sorry, was in a bitchy mood :(

:D YES I've had two and i'm onto my third

My current setup a Triton Gazza with an Echo rear hub and Hope Trial has given me no problems what so ever. I check my spoke tensions once a week, normally they don't need doing but sometimes a few are a little slack. I do them up tight as I'm not a fan of the spongy wheel feeling and to date I haven't had a single problem. I have head of metal fatigue and I do know it can be an issue but if decent spokes are used and they are kept at correct tension I can't see any reasons why you would have a problem with the strenght of a wheel.

You obviously haven't had great luck with your wheel but that doesn't mean everyone one else is it the same boat. I ride with two other lads with dual disc Montys and put together we have been riding dual disc for over three years with 2 spokes snapped.

Not bad I think ?
